What game engine does WoW utilise?

Melee Combat in WoW seem smooth as a FPS or something.

Are there any other games using the same engine to compare it to?

Wow uses it's own graphic engine, with sc2's engine seeming to exist a close brother.

Game engines are made by company'southward who specialize in making them usually, game developers purchase them to make a game with it.
I think blizzards have had so much success that they are able to make a game engine in house so in that location are no other games running it and its only the wow engine

correct me if im wrong im not a engine specialist but thats what i call back it is

this happens to be the case. You're either rich enough to beget your ain engine, or talented enough to make one. I hate to use this example, merely the founder of Runescape built his own game engine from the ground up. It just goes to evidence you lot what making your own platform tin really practice for a game. Especially if y'all go far at the right time and run it the correct way

WoW originally used a modified version of the WC3 engine, and then built information technology up from there on through patch updates and expansions.

It uses an engine similar to the ones you can find in former Skoda cars. Robust, hard-working, and if everything crashes into oblivion it will nonetheless march on its ain.

Information technology is the same former warcraft 3 engine
thats why it looks like very detailed paper cutouts within a box
and yes your FSP should exist through the roof with that low quality graphics.

The reason wow has 12million subscribers is considering 12million people are to cheap to upgrade there machines to play a real game, in reality they could play S.U.N for gratis and save that coin for that upgrade.
heres a list of games fashion better than WoW with style better graphics..
1.Everquest 2 -full controlls for shader 1.0 and upward!, full on blitheness control, full on floral, bump pixilation (closest matter to Tessellation that any game has)
LiniageII- same total on graphics just less controll, improve ingame visual aspects though.
Vanguard- Not much improve just its still better likewise there is something to practise besides PVP all the time.
Ultima Online-GODFATHER to MMORPG's
Concluding fantacy-very nice graphics if you like anime crap but even so looks good.

(((((Simular in graphics and game play but notwithstanding better than WOW))))

That or WoW has 12 million subscribers because a very large portion of the community likes the game and its lore and can care less about graphics, which in my stance is one of the worst ways to rate a game, through graphics.
